How to increase your energy just by changing the routine

There are natural ways to increase energy and feel more willing to do the tasks.

Our days are getting more and more busy. We dedicate ourselves to our families, our work, the household chores and it is common, at the end of the day, to feel tired. But if the next day we get up with the feeling of tiredness, something is wrong and we need to analyze some habits.

Instead of resorting to stimulants such as caffeine and medications, you can change your routine and practice changes that can increase - and much - your energy naturally. And as we at MetLife want you to have a better quality of life, we've listed these tips to get you started today.

Exercise

Exercising is one of the best ways to put laziness aside and increase energy. And it does not have to be just bodybuilding. A 20 - 30 minute walk a day will relax your mind and keep your body moving, which helps raise energy levels.

In order for the will to walk to remain, it is important to establish a routine. In addition to listening to music or podcast while exercising, changing the treadmill on the paths in the park and inviting a friend, are great practices to keep you excited.

Light an incense

When we think of incense it is common to find that they are just to relax. Some provide this effect, but others stimulate the body. For example, mint incense can make you more focused and alert, while lemon or orange enhances your production of serotonin, the wellness hormone.

All this is possible because of the aroma of each incense, which comes into contact with the sensory cells of our nostrils and is directed to the brain. Then light an incense to increase your mood.

Drink lots of water

Dehydration causes tiredness and can leave you more distracted. The body needs water, not only to quench thirst, but for the blood to have a good circulation and, thus, oxygen to be carried into the cells. With this, the energy to lift and live your day increases.

It is recommended to take 2 liters of water per day, but if you do not have the habit of drinking liquid, start slowly and increase the amount.

A good suggestion is, every morning, squeeze half a lemon into a glass of water and drink. Lemon helps regulate the body's pH, reduces headaches and improves the immune system because of vitamin C.

Eat well

Feeding yourself is essential to keep your body functioning, especially when you want to have energy to do various tasks during the day. Carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins are excellent to give more disposition, besides being the main meal basis.

Then, start breakfast with cereals, fruits and whole-grain breads. Do not forget to take this variety of food for lunch and dinner.

Analyze your nighttime habits

Nighttime habits can be a big villain responsible for your tiredness. The amount of hours you sleep, for example, is a very important factor.

Ideally an adult should sleep between 7 to 8 hours every night. If you sleep less than this, the tiredness will arise and if you sleep more, you will feel sleepy during the day. So you have to try to rest the right amount of hours.

If you have difficulty getting to sleep, it is recommended that you do some relaxing activities before going to bed, such as reading, taking a hot bath, listening to calm music and practicing meditation. Avoid staying on the phone or on the TV until the moment you go to sleep, as they make your brain more awake, making it harder for you to fall asleep.

Enjoy the tips and start putting them into practice to have a day with more energy. That way, you'll be able to do everything you need without getting so tired.
